I have a lecture demonstration program for high school math classes that
illustrates to students how mathematics can be used to understand and create
complex patterns.
I divide the class time in half: first half is lecture/demo with plenty of student
involvement, second half is hands on learning to juggle. This program is a great
opportunity to enliven any high school math class and to engage some students
who may not normally be excited about mathematics.
This program is usually offered in conjunction with a school assembly, contact
